In collaboration with Sailing Aarhus, X-Yachts organizes their recurrent event; The X-Yachts Gold Cup 2021. In 2019 the event was held at the yard and on the same occasion celebrating its 40th anniversary. This year the time has come to celebrate the event in Aarhus.

If possible due to COVID-19, up to 100 danish build X-Yacht boats will shine in the Aarhus Yacht Harbour in Aarhus as 1.000 happy sailors from across 15 nations will take part in the festivities in both family classes and racing classes in the Bay of Aarhus.

X-Yachts and Sailing Aarhus are looking very much forward to welcoming all sailors at Aarhus International Sailing Centre to the X-Yachts Gold Cup 2021 in August. X-Yachts CEO, Kræn Brinck Nielsen, on why Aarhus is hosting next years event along with Sailing Aarhus CEO, Jon Koch Hansen:

Previous X-Yachts Gold Cups

X-Yachts has had a long history of organizing Gold Cup events. In the beginning of the story of Gold Cups, the leading dealers were supposed to take turns on this event – and so they did for many years. From 2011 and onwards, the yard found it more suitable to take on the responsibility – not least, because the potential participants are and were primarily located in Scandinavia and Northern Europe. And it was finally decided only to do the event every second year.
