Marselisborg Yacht Club hosts Wessel & Vett Cup 2017

In September, when Marselisborg yacht Club hosts this years’ international yacht race, Wessel & Vett Cup, you will have an unique possibility to explore the classic and most beautiful 12 meter yachts racing on the Bay of Aarhus.

The spindrift from the 2017 SWC Test Event has barely dried off before Aarhus Bay prepares for yet another eventful race. This summer the waters will be welcoming the Wessel & Vett Cup 2017 who has chosen to race in the picturesque surroundings of Marselisborg situated in the heart of Aarhus. The organizing authority is Marselisborg Sailing Club and Sailing Aarhus in conjunction with the International 12mR class association (ITAM) and the Marselisborg Marina.

Choosing Aarhus as host for the Wessel Vett Cup 2017 seems apparent for several reasons. In terms of skill and competition Aarhus is unique within the sport of sailing. The city is home to some of the greatest Danish sailing talents and has proved to be more than capable of staging international sailing events and in 2018 Aarhus is hosting the Sailing World Championships.

The race will take place August 31th to September 3th 2017 and be part of the annual Aarhus Festival when the city is buzzing with life.
